What You Will Do
We’re looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our Eindhoven development team and help build Forescout’s next-generation security products. You’ll collaborate with a team of backend and full-stack engineers to develop innovative, scalable applications in a hybrid environment—both on-prem and in the cloud. If you’re passionate about writing great code, securing global networks, and tackling complex challenges, this role is for you!
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, QA, and product management in an Agile environment.
- Research and design new solutions for cybersecurity challenges.
- Write, maintain, and review well-structured, high-quality code.
- Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a Linux-based production environment.
- Apply software development best practices to enhance security and efficiency
What You Will Bring To Forescout
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience developing backend applications in Python.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems and container technologies.
- Experience with software packaging (e.g., building DEB/RPM packages, managing APT/YUMrepositories).
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently with remote teams across different time zones.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience in network engineering or cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of secure coding principles.
- Experience with Java.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
