Solution Architect - Federal

  • Sales
  • USA, East Coast
  • Full-time

Description

Location: Remote.

Noname Security, founded in 2020, is one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies, acquired by Akamai Technologies, the world's largest and most trusted Cloud Security Platform. Our mission is to reduce the risk of API security vulnerabilities and cyber-attacks. Our API Security Platform is an out-of-band solution that doesn’t require agents or network modifications and offers deeper visibility and security than API gateways, load balancers, and WAFs. No one addresses the API security challenge like Noname.

What you'll do as a Federal Solution Architect (Pre-Sales)

You are the technical workhorse through the entire sales cycle, driven to get the Technical Win. You will work closely with our Federal agencies to support the mission, educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Noname platform. Your technical expertise in Noname's technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, train and onboard new customers via video conference or in-person, through documentation, and support the customer's long-term success. As a subject matter expert, you are a trusted source for technical information, support, and communication.

As a Solution Architect, you are the technical customer advocate within Noname. To aid your customers, you will work closely with every team at Noname, from Sales and Product Management to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organization as you seek and create scalable solutions for your customers' needs.

What we look for in our Federal Solution Architects (Pre-Sales)

Our Federal Solution Architects come from a wide range of backgrounds: cloud, cybersecurity, API management, DevOps, operations, professional services, product management, customer support, and project delivery. We're serious about building a diverse team. When hiring, we look for diversity of experience combined with a genuine curiosity for our technology.

Ultimately, you are passionate about technology and can explain complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms. You are naturally curious and an avid builder who is not afraid to get your hands dirty. You appreciate the diversity of challenges in working with customers and look forward to helping them realize the full promise of Noname. On the Solution Architect team, you will find a collaborative environment where everyone brings different strengths and jumps in to help each other.

Responsibilities

Candidates for this role should be able to:

  • Translate technical concepts into positive business outcomes for various audiences: from systems engineers to front-end developers to IT managers and C-levels in enterprise organizations.
  • Enjoy constantly learning new things and teaching what you've learned to the broader team through internal and external engagement, team demos, and product training sessions.
  • Understand problems and find creative ways to solve them. Our product suite is ever-growing, and identifying which parts will solve a customer's particular issue is essential.
  • Manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands.
  • Run a team to respond to RFI and RFP. Proposal writing is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • As a critical part of Noname’s Federal Sales team, Solution Architects work hands-on to drive technical discussions to help generate new business, expand an existing business, and keep our customers happy.
  • In business generation and expansion, you’ll be tasked with qualifying prospect and customer use cases, technical requirements discovery, leading demonstrations, solution identification, design, and collaboration with workshops and proofs-of-value (PoVs).
  • The role could require 50-75% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, conferences, and other industry events, and collaborate with your Noname teammates.
