Our mission is to reduce the risk of API security vulnerabilities and cyber-attacks. Our API Security Platform is an out-of-band solution that doesn’t require agents or network modifications and offers deeper visibility and security than API gateways, load balancers, and WAFs. The Technical Support Engineering (TSE) team at Noname is hiring motivated individuals seeking to be at the center of post-sales customer and technical support. As the team who facilitates many interactions with our customers, you will take on the critical mission of resolving complex technical issues while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their technical issues and needs (Tier 1-2)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to the development of technical support documentation and processes
  • Escalating complex issues to next-tier support as needed
  • Drive to resolution & monitor the support process through various escalation channels
  • Provide feedback on ways to improve the customer support experience

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of previous experience in technical support, Tier 1-3, role (preferably supporting external customers in a startup or similar high-paced environment)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and logically
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other professionals to ensure high-quality of service
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Understanding of cloud environments, including hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proven experience and understanding of Docker containers (advantage: Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu & Redhat)
  • Willingness to work Pacific Timezone hours

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with writing SQL queries, Infrastructure & Application Monitoring Tools, Jira ticketing / service desk
  • Knowledge of APIs and web applications, Cybersecurity principles and best practices, including security protocols, network security, and risk assessment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent)

This is a full time, permanent WFH position with a salary range of $115,000 to $165,000, plus a generous benefits package including unlimited PTO! Candidates for this role must be US Citizens or Green Card Holders located in the US. The pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
