Mission

Own the entire Legal function to:

Protect Qevlar through sound commercial contracts
Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and security requirements
Support corporate governance and equity matters
Enable the business to move fast while managing risk

Scope and Responsibilities

Commercial Contracts

Draft and negotiate customer MSAs, DPAs, SOWs
Review and negotiate vendor contracts
Create and maintain contract templates
Support deal velocity without sacrificing protection

Data Privacy and Compliance

Own GDPR compliance program
Support SOC 2 audit and certification
Handle security questionnaires (legal sections)
Manage data processing agreements

Corporate and Governance

Support board matters (minutes, resolutions, consents)
Manage equity administration
Handle corporate governance documentation
Support corporate structuring (US INC + French SAS)

Who You Are

6-10+ years of legal experience, with 2+ years in-house or SaaS-focused
Strong background in commercial contracts (B2B SaaS preferred)
Experience with GDPR and data privacy
Qualified lawyer (French bar, US bar, or equivalent)
Pragmatic risk assessment approach
Can work across English and French
