Make your mark with a rapidly growing Cybersecurity company:
We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join us on an 8 month Fixed Term contract in Sydney! Joining a small, close knit team, you’ll support the Financial Operations team in accounts reconciliations and month end to ensure management reports are completed in an efficient and accurate manner. The role will work closely with AP, AR , senior accountant and international tax manager and will have a global remit.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Bank and Card Reconciliations;
* Contracts review for revenue recognition under IFRS;
* Assist International Tax Managers with BAS/VAT filings, FBT filings etc;
* Month end journals and maintenance of month end schedules including assisting with senior accountants in balance sheet reconciliations;
* Preparation of payments files and supporting documents, and managing the approvals flow for payments application with AP/AR;
* Some treasury duties ;
* Department coding and ensuring accuracy of data in accounting system;
* Assist with external group audits;
* Assist with preparation of the month end/quarter end reporting pack; and
* Adhoc projects as they arise
This is a great role for an up-and-coming accountant who loves putting their hand up and learning new things!
We’d love to chat if you have:
* Bachelor / Master degree in accounting;
* At least 2 years of experience in working as assistant accountant/accounts officer;
* Experience performing bank reconciliations and assist with month end duties;
* Experience working across a multi-country remit;
* Strong data analysis and excel modeling skills;
* A strong ‘can do’ attitude and ability to work with multiple stakeholders;
* The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines; and
* Excellent attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to build relationships.
