Overview: As a Senior Identity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful configuration, management, and optimization of the SPHEREBoard platform across multiple client environments. Your responsibilities will involve deeply understanding client requirements, troubleshooting complex identity and access management (IAM) issues, and driving best practices in identity hygiene. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security, compliance, and efficiency of client environments while contributing to the evolution of the SPHEREBoard platform through feedback based on client interactions.
In this senior-level role, you will leverage your extensive IAM experience to architect and deploy secure solutions, manage multiple client projects, and provide expert guidance on risk remediation and platform optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- IAM Risk Mitigation: Analyze, assess, and mitigate IAM security risks by conducting thorough reviews of accounts, permissions, entitlements, and metadata. Identify vulnerabilities and recommend risk remediation strategies.
- Platform Implementation and Optimization: Architect, install, and optimize the SPHEREBoard platform across diverse enterprise environments, ensuring high standards of accuracy, consistency, and security in deployment and operations.
- Client Engagement and Training: Partner with clients to gather technical requirements, configure SPHEREBoard to meet specific needs, and deliver training to ensure they fully understand and effectively utilize the platform.
- Documentation and Process Development: Develop and maintain detailed technical design guides, policy documentation, and process runbooks, ensuring that all procedures are well-documented and up to date.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to communicate and implement risk remediation strategies. Escalate critical issues as necessary, ensuring compliance with change control processes.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Use advanced data analytics to monitor IAM cybersecurity risks, generating reports that translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for both internal teams and external clients.
- Project Leadership: Lead multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with client engagements, timelines, and Statements of Work (SOW). Deliver projects on time, managing client expectations and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Special Projects: Contribute to special initiatives involving Unstructured Data, Privileged Access, Active Directory, UNIX, and other key infrastructure areas, providing expert-level guidance and technical leadership.
Requirements:
- Extensive Cybersecurity Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on IAM, Active Directory (AD), SQL, and data analytics. Previous experience in a senior technical role is preferred.
- Security Solution Deployment Expertise: Proven experience deploying and managing security solutions in complex, multi-client environments.
- Advanced IAM Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IAM platforms and familiarity with leading security tools, including Varonis, StealthBits, Symantec, CyberArk, Centrify, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), and others.
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting, with expertise in MS Excel and MS SQL for extracting and normalizing data.
- Infrastructure Expertise: Strong understanding of infrastructure platforms such as Active Directory, CIFS File Systems, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and SQL.
- Problem-Solving and Project Management Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical details into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility: Willingness to work outside of standard business hours (evenings/weekends) as client needs and project deadlines require.
- Onsite Availability: Ability to work onsite at client locations in the New York City/Northern New Jersey area as needed.
